If you are an employee of Cognizant then you would only have to wait for another 6 months in case your appraisal did not go as planned.
This is a good feeling. There is hope.
But not anymore.
In September 2020, Cognizant decided to slash its promotion cycle to one. This happened after the initial freeze on all salary raises and promotions that happen around April.
Well, the world went into a pandemic and we cannot blame cognizant for this.
Nobody anticipated this pandemic.
But there is more to this announcement of a single promotion cycle than meets the eye.
